Antoninus Pius, 138-161. Dupondius (Orichalcum, 26 mm, 13.86 g, 12 h), Rome, 140-144. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P COS III Radiate head of Antoninus Pius to right. Rev. ANNONA AVG / S - C Annona standing facing, head to right, holding cornucopiae with her left hand and bundle of grain-ears over modius with her right; behind to right, the stern of a ship. BMC 1330. Cohen 36. RIC 656. A sharp and most attractive piece with a splendid olive-green patina. Good extremely fine.
